About the Prairie Woods Parent Teacher Organization

The purpose of the Prairie Woods PTO is to:
- Involve parents and community members to assist with various school activities, functions, and services.
- Provide financial assistance for the enrichment of the students, staff, and school facilities.
- Foster an informed community atmosphere.
- Support the mission and vision of Prairie Woods Elementary.
The 2025-2026 Board of Directors includes:

The NLS PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All donations are tax-deductible, tax ID 45-4845170. A receipt will be given upon request. All funds are strictly used to benefit Prairie Woods Elementary School in the New London-Spicer School District.

Meetings & Events
Prairie Woods PTO meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month during the school year. Any parent, guardian, or staff member of Prairie Woods Elementary may be a member and/or active volunteer and may attend meetings.
Please join us for the monthly meetings from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the New London American Legion.

Our Impact
2024-25
$7,350 was donated to Prairie Woods teachers and staff for classroom supplies.
2023-24
$7,625 was donated to the NLS Teachers to purchase classroom supplies
$11,800 was donated to Prairie Woods to send 590 students on field trips
$1,890 was used for Prairie Woods staff and bus driver appreciation
$3,400 in funding supported the one book one school program
$3,793 fulfilled funding requests from teachers and staff
